Hello Heartbeats! Let’s dive right in with meekness. Meekness or humbleness. Meekness is the ability to humble yourself, be teachable. To be teachable means you accept the fact that you don’t know it all.
Jesus is the best example I can give when talking about meekness or humbleness. He humbled himself and became like you and I. He took the heart of a servant. He became poor that we might be rich. He took on sickness and disease that we might be healed. He humbled himself to do the will of the Father so that we all could be free. James 4:6 says, “He gives more grace to the humble.” Think about Moses, the meekest man in the Bible. Could that be the reason he did so many miracles, signs and wonders and was known as a Deliverer? Absolutely! Moses was teachable and willing to follow instructions. So, let’s relate this to our day and time. We’re living under the dispensation of God’s grace. We’re the ones to do even greater works. The greater works can only happen when we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Recognizing that it won’t be us doing the greater works, but Him working through us to do the greater works. When we humble ourselves, more grace is extended and more instruction is given. So I challenge you to look over your life and make the necessary changes to operate in meekness. Be more humble and teachable. Be willing to take instructions and be willing to serve. Put yourself in position to be used by God to do those greater works. Confess: I am humble, teachable, and more grace is being extended to me. God wants me whole and I’m getting whole by the minute. Next week, Temperance!
