True Forgiveness
Did you know that true forgiveness doesn’t have anything to do with how you feel? It has everything to do with your obedience to God and your faith in Him. Did you know that you can ruin your health simply by not forgiving someone? Staying in a place of unforgiveness doesn’t hurt the other person. It hurts you. It’s like you drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. With God’s help you can overcome unforgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 says, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” The ability to forgive is in you because it’s in Christ. Christ put it there when he created and saved you. Christ has forgiven you so surely you can extend that same grace to someone else. Luke 6:37 bottom portion says, “Forgive and you shall be forgiven.” So don’t be an emotional bookkeeper keeping record of all the wrongs done to you. Forgive as God forgives. He never keeps record of your faults. So why would you keep records of others? Holding grudges is allowing that person to live rent free in your head. My friend forgive and once you’ve forgiven, consider them permanently forgiven. Don’t let Satan remind you of the incident. Forgive, forget, and walk into a whole new world of blessings. Remember, forgiveness is not for the other person. IT IS FOR YOU!
Confess: Today, I release all those who have wronged me. I forgive them now and forever. My heart is free and full of love for them. God want wants me whole and I’m getting whole by the minute!
